My group members were also so committed. We really had a great time together. Between all the laughing and cheering, it did not at all feel like we were doing work. We made the best of this experience and had fun with the kids. It was also hilarious because we had Leslie and Alondra in our corner majority of the time cheering and screaming for us! Every single member in my group, including myself, had a task to complete and completed it fabulously. We went above and beyond to make this as great as possible for the kids.
The kids and their families truly enjoyed our presentation. Something that I really appreciated on the parents' end was their involvement in our presentation. For example, when we forgot to put in soap in one of our last presentation, there was a mother there with her daughter and she questioned our process by reminding us to add the soap. The parents were very committed to their child's gain from our presentation and were very much present and alert. The kids on the other hand I could tell were overjoyed about everything that we did. They adored the color and absolutely lived for the moment when the reaction erupted. From the way their eyes lit up and the way that they covered their mouths in awe, I knew that they appreciated our presentation.
If I could do this whole thing over again I would. I can't put into words how much fun this was. I mentioned already that I love working with children, so when I'm around them my only mission is to make them smile, to make them laugh. These kids truly made me feel like a super duper mega star. Their faces in awe made my evening that night. It was also very satisfying when parents complimented us and also thanked us for giving their child a great time. It was a truly rewarding experience. When conducting our presentation, my group and I found that when we put baking soda first and vinegar last instead of the other way around, our eruption was more pleasing to the crowd.
